SHILLONG: Media persons in Shillong on Thursday evening left a Cabinet meeting halfway due to the delay on the part of the government to start the meeting at the scheduled time. The Cabinet meeting was scheduled to start at 4:30 pm but the Cabinet members arrived for the meeting only at around 5:30 pm and the meeting finally began at around 5:45 pm which irked the media persons.
Delays in Cabinet meetings are commonplace in the State with ministers and officials sticking to their habit of arriving late for all such occasions.
