JOWAI: A man hanged his two-month-old daughter and later committed suicide in his residence at Tuberkmai Shnong on Saturday night. According to FIR lodged by the Rangbah Shnong of the area, Graham Lyngdoh, the man Riang Lyngdoh first hanged his baby girl Aim Phawa and later hanged himself at the same spot.
The headman allegedly tried to hide the incident initially but police rushed to the spot after coming to know of the matter.
Both the bodies were taken to Khliehriat PHC for post mortem examination.
