SHILLONG: The secretary of Sutnga Elaka, Kmenlok Sutnga has refuted the allegations made by Patrict Pala that the former had resorted to illegal activities and forcefully asked the villagers to sign some papers.
Addressing a news conference on Monday, he said that Pala is not the secretary of Sutnga.Pala was elected as acting Doloi of Sutnga by Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC).
“We wanted to send our signatories to the JHADC to convene a Dorbar about Pala’s allegations.” Kmenlok said.
However, he maintained that he has nothing to do with JHADC, as the convention states that the Council should have held consultations before appointing Pala as acting Doloi.
