SHILLONG: In regard with the ongoing warring between the Meghalaya Upper Primary School Teachers’ Association (MUPSTA) State Level and the government, the Association said that its working hard to ensure that rights of teachers are restored especially the enhancement of salary.
In a statement to the press, the Association said that the teachers often encounter problems with the managing committee of their respective schools.
The Teachers’ body refuted the allegations of founder ex-president of MUPSTA, O. Lyngdoh, in which he said that MUPSTA is opposed to All Meghalaya Adhoc Upper Primary School Teachers’ Association (AMAUPSTA).
“MUPSTA is not against any organisation as the aims and objectives are to support fellow teachers to fight for the rights to get salary enhancement,” the statement said.
