SHILLONG: James Sylliang, MDC of Mawhati, who is the KHADC Executive Member, has threatened to resign from the People’s Democratic Forum (PDF) coalition if the KHADC CEM issues NOC for the railway project at Byrnihat.
He has lent his support to the NGOs, who have opposed the railway project in the state and he stated that he will not allow the Executive committee to issue NOC for the project.
According to the MDC of Mawhati, the coming of railways will be a threat to the minority community as well as bring in anti social elements with the coming of illegal migrants.
