2 KSU members held in police bus attack case

SHILLONG: The police on Friday arrested two KSU members in connection with the arson attack on a Police requisition bus at Nongmynsong.
The arrested KSU members are Sabir Jyrwa (31) and Phrang Warjri (26).
Meanwhile, one more case of arson was reported in Umsning on Thursday night.
The woods, stacked at the Horticulture office was set on fire by miscreants. As a result, the fire spread and the office building was partially damaged, the police said.
Earlier in Ri Bhoi, police had placed the arrested KSU members under MMPO for the damage to the railway properties.
A separate FIR was also lodged against the arsonists by NF Railway.
Dsepite appeals from the government, there is no respite to the violent incidents. The attacks in Ri Bhoi have also affected tourists flow to State.
The law and order situation may mar the upcoming silver jubilee celebrations in Ri Bhoi.
