Students felicitated
St Paul’s Higher Secondary School, Nongpoh, held a felicitation programme for the students who successfully made it in the SSLC and HSSLC examinations.
Silver jubilee
St. George School (residential), Nongmensong, will conclude the silver jubilee celebrations and the felicitation of Duyu Assung, the first rank holder of class X, MBoSE examinations at 4 pm on Tuesday. Chief Minister Mukul Sangma and Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee president, Takam Sanjay will be present as the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
Paal Naam
The Srimanta Sankardev Cultural Centre, Bishnupur, will be performing annual ‘Paal Naam’ for universal peace and harmony in the Bishnupur Sankardev Naamghar premises on June 4. Devotees of Barpeta Satra have consented to attend and conduct the ceremony.
RKM convocation
The convocation of computer and language units of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre will be held on June 3. Governor of Assam and Meghalaya Banwarilal Purohit will be present as the chief guest at the afternoon seesion at 2:30 pm. During the functions the centre will distribute certificates to about 2,000 of its trainees.
National Lok Adalat
The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority, Shillong under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, will be holding the National Lok Adalat for all relevant matters on July 8, in the High Court of Meghalaya, all District Courts, all District Council Courts, and all Sub-Divisional Courts. Persons or parties receiving the Lok Adalat notice will have to appear before the benches for settlement of their disputes amicably. This was informed by the Member Secretary, Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority, Shillong.
Closing Ceremony
The closing ceremony of the Silver Jubilee celebrations of St. George School, Nongmensong, Shillong will be held on June 6 at 4 pm on the school premises.Chief Minister Dr. Mukul Sangma will grace the function as chief guest in presence of A. L. Hek, MLA, besides others.
