Teachers’ meet
The emergency general meeting of 4th Teachers teaching in Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) Upper Primary schools in the State will be held on June 10 at Khasi National Dorbar Hall, Mawkhar at 11am. H.M Marbaniang, Chairman of Meghalaya SSA Schools Association 4th Teachers Committee has informed that detailed outcomes related to the 100 per cent salary enhancement for 4th teachers as approved by the MUA-II Cabinet on May 2 to be effective from January 1, 2017 will be taken up at the meeting.
The All Meghalaya SSA School Teachers’ Association (AMSSASTA) SWKH will hold a general meeting of all SSA teachers falling under Ranikor and Mawkyrwat Block at 11am on June 10.

Lecture
The Shillong Chapter of the Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) will organise a lecture series on August 11 at the Department of Environmental Studies, NEHU. The convener will be D. Walia, Head of the Department of Environmental Studies.

Death condoled
Lumparing Welfare Society, Shillong (Mynsain) condoled the death of former minister Anthony Lyngdoh. The Society termed late Lyngdoh as a good leader who served the erstwhile Laban constituency.
