BJP committees formed

SHILLONG: The BJP Mahila Mandal Committee and Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha Mandal Committee of 17 North Shillong were formed at Jail Road here on May 31 in the presence of the party’s state vice president and ticket aspirant from the constituency, JA Lyngdoh.
While Mary Ann Nongkynrih was named the president of the Mahila Mandal Committee, Ri-ing Lyngdoh is the general secretary. Apart from other office bearers, 15 executive members were also elected.
Meanwhile, Fairning Stone Marbaniang was elected as president of the BJYM mandal committee of the constituency. Raja Jyrwa and Joydib Das are the vice president and Boniefast Kharbuki the general secretary.
Acting as per the direction of the central party leadership to complete the formation of district, mandal and polling booth committees, state BJP president Shibun Lyngdoh at a recent press conference stated that the organisational structure will set a strong base for the party ahead of the 2018 Assembly election.
