Forest job in exchange of land in WJH

JOWAI: The Forest Department (Territorial Division) in West Jaintia Hills has appointed one Anthony Chyrmang of Mynthong, Jowai as forester-I after he donated land measuring 1080 square meters to the department.
The Forest department issued an appointment letter dated May 17, 2017 after the land situated at Lumkya in West Jaintia Hills was donated to the department.
Sources informed that Chyrmang bought the land from one Sloshon Mynsong to donate it to the Forest department for setting up of a check point.
Officials in the department claimed that the appointment has been done after following appropriate rules.
