NEW DELHI: A group of Congress legislators and party members will meet the Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday here to discuss the party affairs in the State.
Sources said the meeting assumes significance in the context of BJP expanding its presence in Meghalaya ahead of the Assembly polls.
The State leaders will also inform the Congress leadership about the need to have unity ahead of the 2018 Assembly polls to take on the varied political parties in the State.
The Congress leaders want to ensure that there is no infighting in the party ahead of the polls.
