SHILLONG: Police are yet to make any breakthrough into the kidnapping of a six-year-old boy from North Garo Hills.
On the night of June 8, five criminals had abducted the boy from his house after locking up the parents in Dangkong village of North Garo Hills and fled in a car belonging to the family.
The car was later found abandoned at Nalabari in Assam.
A police official said on Sunday that efforts were on to track the boy and the criminals involved.
Earlier, besides the pressure groups, local MLA representing Kharkutta, Cherak W Momin, had appealed to the abductors to release the boy unharmed.
