1 killed, several injured in road mishaps

SHILLONG: One person died on the spot while several others were reported injured in spate of road accidents in the state.
On June 11 around 3.15 pm, one Ford vehicle (AS-01AU-5272) driven by Premadhar Bharali (40) dashed against a roadside pillar guard at Pahamrioh, Nongpoh.
In the accident, occupant Ikadha Choudhury (32) died on the spot.
In another road accident, on June 12 around 5.40 pm, one bus (ML-05E-5392) driven by Bhaboklang Dkhar dashed against a Tata Sumo tourist vehicle (ML-10A-3653) driven by Akash Singh at GS Road, Mawlai Umthlong.
As a result, three occupants of Tata Sumo vehicle sustained injuries and were admitted at NEIGRIHMS.
