GNLA organiser in police net

RESUBELPARA/SHILLONG: A person suspected to be a GNLA organiser cum cyber expert was arrested in Tura with the joint initiative of police teams of North Garo Hills and West Garo Hills on Wednesday evening.
A police official said that the accused, Tengsrang A Sangma alias Achura Wegaro Agitok-II, was arrested and interrogation is on to get details on his role in the outfit.
According to police, Sangma was a regular Facebook user and attracted many youths to the fold of GNLA.
He had many fake Facebook accounts which include Dimchang Walmisi A’chik, Do’reng Walkusi, Chongchongminda Wa’gi, Megam Garipagipa, Mikmak Marak, Chagak Bilgak, Ruram Sureng, Sonaramni Desudrang, Gongbin Marak, and Nuru Mande II.
Sangma also acted as a financial adviser to GNLA.
The accused was earlier expelled from All A’chik Youth Federation due to immoral activities including extortion.
He was also involved in threatening church leaders of North Garo Hills.
