TURA: Former BJP Youth Wing president of Tura city Wilver Greham Danggo has reacted strongly to BJP’s denial that around 5,000 of its workers had left the party in Garo Hills.
Earlier, Danggo had said after his resignation from the party that 5,000 members of the party had resigned in Garo Hills and five Mandal committees were dissolved. The claims were refuted by BJP state president Shibun Lyngdoh on Saturday.
Lyngdoh had also claimed that the BJP youth leadership could not even enroll sufficient members in the district and mandal committees and “the question of 5,000 members does not arise”.
Reacting to this, Danggo said enrolment of members was done through online registration due to insufficient registration forms and challenged Lyngdoh to check the data online instead of checking the forms to get the actual figures.
He also hit out at former MLA K.C Boro saying he, being a new member of BJP, should not question the actions of those who had worked to set up the foundation for the party in Garo Hills.
