Langsning FC beat Shillong Lajong Juniors in U-18 SPL

SHILLONG: Langsning FC beat Shillong Lajong Juniors by 3-2 in the U-18 Shillong Premier League game at Polo Grounds on Friday. Phrangki scored from inside the box in the 21st minute to give Lajong Juniors the lead but Langsning FC equalized when Stephanson Pale found the back of the net in the 28th minute. The Lajong Junior boys regained their lead after an own goal was scored by a Langsning player, Verdy Clifford Lyngdoh in the 47th minute.  Langsning were awarded the penalty in the 56th minute after their player was brought down inside the box. Fido Syndai converted the penalty and leveled the score line at 2-2. Syndai netted his second goal of the match in the 64th minute to give Langsning the victory in today’s game. Shillong Lajong Juniors lost their first U-18 SPL match today and are on 9 points from four matches.  The Reds will play their next game against Shillong United on June 21.
