SHILLONG: Acting chief secretary Y. Tsering is set to take over as full-fledged State chief secretary from Monday.
The new post of Tsering is after the State Government gave nod to the appointment of present chief secretary K.S Kropha as the chairman of Administrative Reforms.
An official notification in this regard will be released on Monday.
Kropha whose leave expired on Friday may function either from Delhi or Shillong.
An official source said Kropha had asked the State Government to relieve him of the post of chief secretary following the adverse verdict against him by the CBI court in Delhi last month in a case related to the coal scam.
Kropha is set to appeal against the verdict in the High Court.
