Security to be stepped up for rail protest

SHILLONG: Security will be tightened in the district for the sit-in protest called by three pressure groups on June 21.
When contacted, Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills P.S Dkhar said no communication was received from the agitating organisations till date.
However, East Khasi Hills SP Davis Marak said, “We will put adequate security arrangements.”
When asked on the cases of arson, he said there are no fresh cases of arson on Sunday.
