4 killed in separate road accidents

SHILLONG: Three persons including a 60-year-old woman were killed in two separate road accidents in the state recently.
On June 16 around 6.30 pm, one auto rickshaw (ML-10-9194) driven by Bankitboklang Diengdoh (20) knocked down one pedestrian Milda Phawa (60) near Alpha English Secondary School, Nongpoh in Ri bhoi.She sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Nongpoh from where she was referred to CH Shillong but succumbed to her injuries on the way to Shillong.
In another mishap, one truck driver was killed at Ratacherra in East Jaintia Hills. The mishap occurred on June 13 around 6.30 pm, when a truck (WB-37C-9705) driven by Rajesh Yadav (39) fell into a gorge at Ratacherra NH-44 (EJH).
In the incident, helper of the truck identified as Nawada died on the spot while handyman Ravi Yadav (33) sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Shillong where he succumbed to his injures.
