NONGSTOIN: A 22-year-old mentally disabled woman from Mawthahrap under Mairang police station was repeatedly raped by a man from the same village.
The accused Tran Thabah committed the crime in 2016 leading to the pregnancy of the woman who was threatened not to reveal anything to her parents.
The atrocities committed were revealed by the victim only when she delivered a child. The parents of the victim filed an FIR at Mairang PS on Thursday following which the accused was arrested under POCSO act.
