NGH boy’s kidnappers arrested in Ri Bhoi

SHILLONG: Ri Bhoi police on Saturday arrested two persons for their involvement in the kidnapping of a six-year-old boy from North Garo Hills earlier this month.
On the night of June 8, five criminals had abducted the boy from his house after locking up the parents in Dangkong village and fled in a car belonging to the family. The car was later abandoned at Nalabari in Assam.
The arrested persons have been identified as Jubei A. Sangma (23) of Bakrapur, Dudhnoi, Assam and Suresh A. Sangma of Mawkapiah. They were arrested from Mawkapiah in Ri Bhoi.
