Book on ‘Lyngam’ released

NONGSTOIN: A book based on the tradition and customs of ‘Lyngam’ was released recently at Nongstoin College.
Ka Longwiar Dongpaw (Ka Lyngwiar dpei), written by Mawshynrut MLA and former associate professor of Nongstoin College Witting Mawsor, was released by Streamlet Dkhar, Head of the Department of Khasi in NEHU-Shillong on Saturday.
“Everyone should know that we the Khasis, which include Maram, pnar, lyngam, u bhoi u war, belong to one community but we are rich in dialects,” said Dkhar.
