Foundation for Rs 47-lakh road projects laid

SHILLONG: The Monitoring cum Implementation Committee (MCIC) in collaboration with the Dorbar Shnong of Upper Lumparing organised the Foundation Stone laying ceremony on June 24, for the construction of cobbled footpath (Trekking Path) from Upper Lumparing Laban to Shillong Viewpoint and for construction of Link Road from Lumsohphoh connecting the turning point from the existing PWD Road to Buddhist Temple at Upper Lumparing.
The foundation stones for the project amounting to Rs. 46, 70,000, which was initiated, recommended and inaugurated by chief guest Sanbor Shullai, MLA in present of H B Wahlang, Rangbah Shnong, Rangbah Dong, Members of Dorbar Shnong and residents of Greater Lumparing Area. Wahlang lauded the initiative and sustained efforts of Shullai for bringing developmental schemes from various departments, which has fulfilled the aspiration of the people of greater Lumparing in particular and the 19th South Shillong Constituency in general.
