Body found, police file suo motu case

SHILLONG: Shillong police registered a suo motu murder case after a highly decomposed body of a male was recovered from Polo Hills on Sunday evening.  Police said that the body of a male (30-45 years) may be 20-25 days old. The Forensic Science Laboratory is on the job to ascertain the identity of the body.
Meanwhile, police suspects that the person is from outside Polo area since no missing complaint has been lodged in the area.
The postmortem report is awaited.
