Guwahati: At least four persons, including two children, were killed and another four injured when a speeding car ran over them at Kakaia in Nalbari district of Assam.
Reports here said the car ran over a group of people sitting by the road under a tree, to beat the afternoon heat late on Wednesday.
Three persons, including a woman and a child, were killed on the speak, while another child succumbed on way to hospital.
The injured have been admitted at Nalbari civil hospital.
Agitated locals torched the car that caused the accident and handed the driver to the police. (UNI)
