SHILLONG: UDP general secretary Jemino Mawthoh lashed out at Nongkrem MDC HS Shylla calling him an “impatient” politician who defects from one party to another.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Mawthoh revealed that Shylla had told him that he will not leave UDP. However, things took a different turn when the Nongkrem MDC extended his support to the People Democratic Forum (PDF) coalition in KHADC.
Mawthoh said that defection of some MDCs, “who fail to stick to their principles” has tarnished the reputation of the district council.
Mawthoh further stated that the UDP will not work with the Congress if at any given time the regional party gets to form the Executive Committee.
