SBI organises medical camp on its 62nd anniversary

SHILLONG: The State Bank of India celebrated its 62nd bank day celebration on Saturday.
To mark the occasion, SBI, Administrative Office and the Shillong Rural Regional Office held a mega medical camp cum eye check up at Kynshi Village, West Khasi Hills District.
The Medical camp was attended by around 500 people, the Deputy General Manager, (B & O), Shillong, Rajeev Arora, who inaugurated the camp said that this was a humble gesture towards the community of 12 villages.
The Bank also contributed essential commodities and blankets to an orphanage ‘God’s Dream House’ located at Langkyrding, Shillong. Pastor Cross, the caretaker of the orphanage lauded the initiative by the SBI and said “This step taken by SBI has brought smiles and feeling of comfort to the children of the orphanage.”
Nongmynsong and DGAR branches of SBI felicitated meritorious students, who did well in the HSSLS and SSLC exams and the SBI Tura regional Office contributed water filters for NEHU Tura Campus Hostels.
