Govt to set up 2 digital planetariums in state

SHILLONG:  Meghalaya Government is coming up with a two digital planetariums in the state.

This was informed by the Science and Technology department to the working group number 9 of the Meghalaya State Planning Board in here.

John F Kharshiing , co chairman of the State Planning Board said that the Science and Technology department  had informed the working group   that  construction of   digital planetarium  in Tura had begun while the another digital planetariums is likely  to be constructed in the campus of North East Hill University (NEHU), Shillong.

 

The working group also reviewed  fund allocations,  funds sanctioned, expenditures and achievement of four departments including in the sectors of  Information Technology and Communication,  Science and Technology, Mining and Geology and   Environment and Forest  from the year  2014-2017
