Man arrested in Chennai for suspected links with IS

Chennai: The anti-terrorism squad (ATS) of the Rajasthan Police on Tuesday arrested here a person suspected of links with the Islamic State terror group, said police. The suspect, Haroon Rasheed, runs a shop in Burma Bazaar here, according to officials. Rasheed was alleged to have raised funds for the terror outfit. He was also suspected of being involved in recruiting people for the IS. The police had zeroed in on Rasheed after the arrest of Mohammad Iqbal here in February. (IANS)
