Guwahati: Former Lok Sabha Speaker and UPA’s nominee for presidential election, Meira Kumar is arriving here on Tuesday afternoon for a two-day campaign tour to the region. She will meet MLAs and MPs of the region in two separate meetings in Shillong and Guwahati on Wednesday.
After meeting the MLAs and MPs in Meghalaya in the state Assembly complex in Shillong on Wednesday, she will address MLAs and MPs of Congress party of Assam, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Sikkim at Sankardev Kalakshetra in Guwahati, a Congress source here informed. Among these five states Congress has substantial number of MLAs in Assam, Mizoram and Manipur.
