MePDCL , SBI  sign pact for Cash Management

SHILLONG: In a bid to improve the revenue collection process from consumers, the Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited (MePDCL) had executed an agreement with the State Bank of India (SBI) for cash management services.

 

As per the agreement , the SBI will collect the electricity bill revenues from MePDCL’s collection centres on all working days of the banking transactions and deposit the same to its Revenue Collection Account at the designated branch of the SBI. The arrangement is made for safe and easy transfer of the electricity bill revenues of MePDCL from its collection counters to its account at the designated branches of the bank.

The  agreement  was signed at Lum Jingshai by K N War, Chief Engineer (Distribution) on behalf of MePDCL and by S Tripathy, Asst. General Manager on behalf of SBI, in the presence of P S Thangkhiew, Additional Chief Secretary and Chairman-cum-Managing Director, MeECL.
