SHILLONG: The National People’s Party (NPP) has decided to support Ram Nath Kovind, the NDA candidate for the presidential elections. The Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) will take a call on the matter on Thursday.
NPP state president W.R Kharlukhi said the party would support Kovind since NPP is a partner in the NDA.
Kharlukhi also expressed confidence that Kovind would win the election since a large number of political parties are supporting his candidature.
On the other hand, HSPDP MLA K.P Pangniang said that the party would meet on Thursday to decide whom to support.
