SHILLONG: In a bid to improve the revenue collection process from consumers, the Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited (MePDCL) signed an agreement with the State Bank of India (SBI) for cash management services on June 28. Under the agreement, the bank will collect the electricity bill revenues from MePDCL’s collection centres and deposit the same to its revenue collection account at the designated branch of SBI. The arrangement is made for safe and easy transfer of the electricity bill revenues of MePDCL from its collection counters to its account at designated bank branches.
