Freight rates fall on excess trucks position

New Delhi, Jul 5 (PTI) Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section came down by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following comfortable position of trucks against cargo movements. Transporters said huge position of trucks and restricted cargo movements led to the fall in freight rates. Delhi to Vijayawada, Bengaluru, Mysore and Coimbatore freight rates dropped by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 58,000, Rs 62,000, Rs 66,000 and Rs 72,000. Rates to Thiruvananthapuram, Mumbai, Pune and Goa also eased by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 83,000, Rs 27,000, Rs 29,000 and Rs 57,000.
