‘Meghalaya is BJP’s next seat of power’

SHILLONG: The national joint secretary of BJP, B.L Santhosh, said on Wednesday after the four northeastern states Meghalaya is next in line to be ruled by BJP.
Referring to the change of guard in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Nagaland, Santhosh said, “It is only a matter of time for the party to rule in Meghalaya. In 2018, the chief minister will be from BJP,” he told a gathering of 250-odd BJP unit members of Shella Mondal at Mawlong in Shella constituency.
State BJP president Shibun Lyngdoh said leaders from Delhi will visit every nook and corner of the State to garner support for the party and create awareness on public administration.
The party leaders on Wednesday highlighted the various schemes of the NDA government.
