Selma Blair cast in ‘Heathers’ reboot

Los Angeles, Jul 7 (PTI) Actress Selma Blair has bagged a recurring role in Paramount Television’s upcoming reboot of “Heathers”. The hourlong dark dramedy, based on the 1998 Christian Slater-Winona Ryder cult movie of the same name, will air on Paramount Network in 2018, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Heather McNamara, originally played by Lisanne Falk, will be portrayed by Jasmine Mathews, while Shannen Doherty (original film cast member) will be seen in the role of Heather Duke. Blair will take on the role of Jade, Heather Duke’s (Scannell) step-mother, described as a stripper and menthol smoker who is rough around the edges but with a bit of glamour to her. PTI
