SHILLONG: The 53rd Installation night of Shillong Lions Club was held on Saturday at the Shillong Club, in which Biman Talukdar was installed as its 53rd president by Dr. K.K. Jhunjhunwala, past district governor of Lions Club International District 322D.
MLA Sanbor Shullai, who was the chief guest at the programme, congratulated the lions for their service.“Help the neighbour, help the poor and help the downtrodden,” said Shullai.
While speaking on the occasion, Jhunjhunwala called upon the members to devote more time to the club and take up challenging projects, which has an impact on the society.
Dilip Bose was named secretary and Gagan Deorah treasurer. Earlier Devajyoti Dev Roy, the outgoing president welcome the guests.
