Miscreants attack labourers in SWGH
Miscreants recently attacked labourers at a labour camp in South West Garo Hills.
Deponkar Das of M/s BSCPL Infrastructure Limited, camp Nirghini, Betasing lodged a complaint that on July 7 around 10 pm, three unidentified miscreants armed with knives went to the labour camp at Matrongkolgre in Ampati-Zikzak Road.
The miscreants manhandled the labourers, snatched two mobile phones, broke the main panel board and damaged the electrical wiring of their hydraulic crane.
The properties damaged in the incident are estimated to be worth Rs. 2 lakh approximately.

Two forge students’ signatures to expel teacher
O. Shylla of Mawbidong village lodged a complaint that Shormonroy Shangdiar and Khlurningstar Shangdiar, both from Mawbidong village, forged the signature of some students and members of the village in the attendance register of the school against K. Shylla [Teacher of Upper Primary School Mawbidong] to expel her from the service. They also threatened the victim with dire consequences.
