London: Two women’s single tennis quarter-finals matches at Wimbledon had to be postponed on Tuesday due to rain.

The first of the postponed matches was the contest between Spanish Garbiñe Muguruza and Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova, and the second was between Slovak Magdalena Rybarikova and American Coco Vandeweghe on Court 1, reports Efe.

However, the other two matches between American Venus Williams with Latvian Jelena Ostapenko and British Johanna Konta against Romanian Simona Halep will be played as scheduled on the Center Court, the only one with a roof at the All England Club. (IANS)
