TURA: A teacher from South West Garo Hills district who was accused by a Shillong-based advocate of procuring ‘fake’ certificates to get a job in an SSA upper primary school has threatened to sue the lawyer for tarnishing his image saying he has documents to prove his innocence.
The advocate, S.K Hussain, had alleged that Sahad Miah of Patelipara-Baishyapara SSA UP School submitted certificates issued by an educational institution that has already been closed down. He had questioned the authenticity of the documents alleging that the institute from where Miah passed his matriculation, Sankardev College of Allied Sciences in Assam, closed down in 2014 and the teacher submitted his marksheet issued in 2016.
Miah, filed a Right to Information with the Guwahati-based institute which is affiliated to the All India Educational Parishad, an autonomous government registered organisation headquartered in New Delhi.
