BSF nabs 1 with fish worth Rs 1 lakh; seizes ganja, cattle

SHILLONG: The Border Security Force has seized various items, including contraband and cattle, and arrested one person in one of the cases.
BSF troops deployed at Latangtilla in West Jaintia Hills held a 47-year-old man allegedly smuggling 90kg of fish worth more than Rs 1 lakh into India, a statement from the force said. In another incident, BSF troops at Baldamgiri in South West Garo Hills seized 3 kg ganja that was being smuggled to Bangladesh. The BSF statement also claimed that it seized 70 cows worth more than Rs 12 lakh from various places.
