Constable shot at by senior

SHILLONG: A police constable sustained head injury after a havildar shot him with his service revolver following an argument at Mawiong on Saturday.
The victim, Randhir Kumar Singh, has been shifted to NEIGRIHMS hospital and the accused, Sumarto Snaitang, has been arrested and produced in a local court on Sunday.
Speaking to reporters, SP City (Crime) Vivek Syiem said there was an argument between them when they were coming for duty from Guwahati at 10.40 pm in a police vehicle (registration number ML01-5879).
Both the constable and the havildar were drunk, said East Khasi Hills SP Davis Marak.
He added that two bullets were shot and one hit Singh’s head.
The vehicle, weapons, ammunition and two empty cartridges were seized.
