Sensex tanks by 363.79 pts

Mumbai:  The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange(BSE) plunged today by 363.79 points to settle at 31,710.99 posting its biggest daily percentage drop this year, as ITC Ltdcrashed by 12.63 percent as the GST Council hiked the cess on cigarettes.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too dropped by 88.80 points to 9,827.15.
The sensex registered day high and low at 31,911.61 and 31,626.44 points respectively.
The Nifty registered day high and low at 9,835.35 and 9,792.05 points respectively. (UNI)
