NONGSTOIN: The brave act of a man saved a labourer from dying of electrocution in Nongstoin on Tuesday.
The labourer, Wistar Dkhar (25) of Tlon in West Khasi Hills was, however, seriously injured.
Sources said that Wistar was installing an electric post near Civil Hospital in Nongstoin when he got electrocuted.
While others present on the spot could not muster courage to help the victim, one of the bystanders, Drasing Nongsiej of Kseh Kohlong village, grabbed the victim by the leg and pushed him at a safe distance.
Wistar was later taken to CH Nongstoin for treatment.
