SHILLONG: As part of the state government’s initiative to beautify the busy Polo area in the city, the state Public Works Department (PWD) department has been asked to draw up a blueprint for beautification of the area in tune with the government’s plan to construct a Time Square-like structure at Polo.
Pynthormukhrah MLA, A L Hek, conducted an inspection of the area on Monday along with officials of the PWD and Public Health Engineering (PHE) departments. The MLA has been involved in the efforts for beautification of the area.
Hek informed that the PWD department had been asked to work out a beautification plan for Polo area. He said the area would be beautified as part of the Government’s plan to build a Time Square like structure at Polo area.
