SHILLONG: Meghalaya SSA School Association (MSSASA) has served a legal notice to the Chairman of the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) with a demand to remove anomalies within 15 days from the date of receipt of the legal notice.
The organisation has threatened to approach the Court of law due to NIOS’ negligence in not taking corrective steps to remove the anomalies.
The anomalies pointed by the MSSASA are related to the delay in declaring the results. In the legal notice to the NIOS, the association’s advocate, K. Chisa stated that the results were declared on September 9, 2016 while the scheduled date for declaration of results was December, 16, 2015.
Another anomaly that has been pointed out is that the internal assessment marks and practice marks are not inscribed. Some of the trainees who were present for the examination were marked absent.
There was a demand for the NIOS to issue original mark-sheet and certificate to the members of the association. The MSSASA asserted that the NIOS failed to take any corrective measures to remove the anomalies.
