Workshop- cum- career counseling on IAS coaching held

TURA: With the aim to encourage the youths of the region to opt for civil services, a one-day workshop-cum-career counselling on IAS coaching was organised by the North Garo Hills district administration at Mendipathar College on Tuesday.

District Deputy Commissioner, S C Sadhu who was the chief guest on the occasion enlightened the gathering of the opportunities given by the state government. He said through this workshop the district administration is trying to reach out to the young minds aspiring to make a career in the civil services by providing them the best support and inputs.

The DC hoped that the workshop would pave the way for the aspirants to overcome the challenges associated with Civil Service preparations.
During the programme, the aspirants had the opportunity to interact with special guest, Jojo Mathew, founder and Executive Director of Alternative Learning System (ALS), New Delhi. An in-depth discussion on various facets of the examination was also held simultaneously.

Others who also spoke motivational words to the students were ADC P K Boro and Principal of Mendipathar College,  A G Momin.
