Three police personnel identified as UBC W.R Suchiang, UBC M. Laloo and UBC P. Suchiang, all of Jowai Traffic Branch were found collecting money illegally from the truckers at 4th Mile, Jowai By-pass (WJH), using their own vehicle (ML-04B-0618) on Thursday morning at around 7.40.
West Jaintia Hills SP R Muthu said that a case had been registered and the matter was under investigation. As all of the three cops had been put under suspension pending departmental inquiry.
