1 killed, 4 injured in separate accidents

SHILLONG: One more death has been reported in the Eas Khasi Hills Diastrict following rash driving.  
On Saturday around 9.30 pm, one Mahindra Pick-up (AS-01GC-8701) driven by Saibul Khan (25) dashed against another vehicle at Kut, NH-44, Mawryngkneng in East Khasi Hills.
As a result, driver of the Mahindra Pick-up sustained injuries, while one occupant Anwar Hussain (20) died on the spot.
In another incident on Sunday, one vehicle (number not known) knocked down Suraj Massi (24) at Mawiong Rim, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was admitted at the Hospital.
In the evening, one Hyundai Santro (AS-01T-3700) dashed against one auto-van (ML-10-6090) driven by Shahjahan Ali (30) at Sumer in Ri Bhoi. As a result, the driver and two occupants of the auto-van sustained injuries and were shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.
The driver of Santro fled after the incident.
