Cop who killed senior yet to be arrested

JOWAI: Lusen A Sangma, a constable of the 3rd Meghalaya Police Battalion, is yet to be arrested in the murder of a havildar in West Jaintia Hills on Sunday.
West Jaintia Hills SP R Muthu said the search for the absconding policeman is on. “We hope to arrest him soon,” Muthu said.
The SP has alerted all police stations in Khasi, Jaintia and Garo Hills to arrest Sangma.
Sangma, who was allegedly drunk, shot dead his senior Litsingh Inghi in his room at the battalion headquarters at Sahbsain in the district and fled with his weapon.
